The Circus is coming to town!
When Le from Crìtica Retrô invited me to co-host the “At the Circus Blogathon” I was beyond excited, I had such a lovely time hosting the France on Film Blogathon but thought it would be much more fun to co-host an event.
So here we are Serendipitous Anachronisms “fun classic media with an academic twist” and Crìtica Retrô “classic film with a tropical twist” (we are very twisty over here) uniting forces to pay tribute to The Greatest Show on Earth- The Circus!
It is my pleasure to invite you to take part in the At the Circus Blogathon
November 12-13, 2016
serendipitousanachronisms.wordpress.com
Call for Posts, while this is a movie themed Blogathon, the event is open to all bloggers!
The Inspiration
Whether it is the stuff of delight or the stuff of nightmares, the circus impacts our childhood with a sense of wonder, oddity, and sometimes horror.
The Event
Please join us for a two-day blogging event, and help salute The Greatest Show on EARTH!
Limitations:
- The event is strictly for new material only; please do not send links to previously published posts.
- Make sure no one has your topic, check the roster as this is a no duplicates event.
- Your charming co-hosts are operating in two time zones (GMT+3 and PT) so we have a little wiggle room, but watch your deadline!
Can I submit more than one entry? Sure thing, we love when people are as excited about this event as we are!
How do you define circus? Great question, we will leave that interpretation open for this event, the film does not have to be entirely about the circus, but may have some circus elements.
Here are some suggested films to get your mental juices flowing: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Circus_films

Not easy to write on circus noir once someone else takes Nightmare City! But a sideshow somnambulist should do the trick.

It’s one of those horror movies that combines horror and comedy. Not as off the wall as “Attack of the Killer Tomatoes” but still funny in its own way.
