I received my MA in Theatre Arts in 2013. Woo-Hoo! Yay, me! I teach performance, theory, and work as a dramaturg.
This blog is an opportunity for me to free-write about my passions: history, fashion, music, dance, performance, fine art, literature, cinema… I will try to keep new media spoiler-free, but I am focusing on old works, so spoilers will run rampant through this blog.
I am happy you are here. I am always looking for great new classic media, if you have a recommendation, drop me a line.
If you are a student and you want to quote me or use something from my site, feel free, just make sure you give me credit in your works cited/consulted/bibliography.
If you want to use my content for non-academic purposes, drop me a line.
Thank you for dropping by, I hope you enjoy my blog!

Hey there fellow dramaturg! Just clicking around the blogosphere and commenting on blogs that I think are fun and interesting, and you’re one of them. October is my birthday month, so consider this an invitation to my month-long birthday party. Hope to see you over at That’s So Jacob sometime!

Summer: I didn’t realize you were a dramatist until I read your “About” page. About a decade ago, I dabbled in local theater for a few years, writing, directing, and performing at whatever venue would have me. If you ever have the time and inclination, you can read my plays for free online at:

Hi there! I’d like to invite you to join the Third Annual Buster Keaton Blogathon, which I’m hosting February 19-21, 2017 on Silent-ology. 2017 will mark 100 years since Buster first entered “moving pictures,” so this is a great opportunity for fans to come together and really celebrate his work (even more so than we already do!).
I will also be working with the International Buster Keaton Society to help publicize this event.
Let me know if you’d like to join the celebration, would love to have you!!

Hey Lea, That sounds like a ton of fun! I have been having a heck of a time keeping up with the blogosphere lately, so I am hesitant to commit lest I develop the reputation for flakiness, but I will bookmark the page, if things slow down I will definitely join in!
